Microsoft owns 51% of Apple?

Well, a co-worker just told me that Microsoft owns 51% of Apple. Is this a rumor or have I just not been paying attention?
 
That would be funny as hell...wouldn't there be some legal stuff protecting Apple from being completely bought out though, or no?
 
From the Yahoo Finance page, the top 10 institutional shareholders range from 5.09% to 2% and none of them are Microsoft.

Microsoft gave $150 Million dollars to Apple for stock..but non voting shareholder stock. They don't own anything in apple really.

Yup. This was financial bailout money to help Apple stay afloat during their tough years. Microsoft was able to keep some of the anti-trust pressure off them in return.
