Microsoft One Care Deals Thread

Not much time left on the MiR from Amazon, assuming they are using pacific time. Guess I will be editing this in the morning to just the BB deal.

I have this installed on my Vista laptop and the constant pop up balloons about my network status drive me crazy. It can't shut off either. arrrgh.

Did you uncheck "notify me" under the firewall settings?

Well, its free again starting today until the 10th with the new MiR that just got posted (was $10 after MiR). I also updated my review of OneCare last night to reflect new detection rate data.

Nope, as forum member John stated here, this is just more proof that 64bit Windows operating systems are the black sheep of the family and forum member Smilin has stated in the past, Microsoft does not even use OneCare's antivirus internally.

(I have a copy of XP 64 rotting on the shelf thanks to lack of mature nForce 3 ultra and TV Tuner drivers)

I just bought and installed but have a question. Until its activated it works under the 90 day free trial, is there any reason why I can't just wait 90 days to activate and get an additional 3 months of subscription?

As far the product, it seems to work very well, I have no complaints.

If you can stand the annoyance of it bugging you to activate, sure.
