Microsoft .NET Framework?

I'm trying to download Logigamer drivers for my mouse, but they need MS .NET framework. What is this? Will it slow my computer down or take up too much memory?

It's a Microsoft run-time library sort of like DirectX is for games.

It shouldn't slow your PC down.

You need it for programs written using Visual Studio .NET so you're going to have to download it eventually. Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated.

The .Net framework is a set of compiled assemblies that provide system services to .Net software. It's a one-time install, won't slow down your computer, or take up any memory when it isn't being used by an application.

Yes. Some apps will not run on 2.0 if they were built for 1.x.
