Microsoft mouse replacement

Was this reported because people were having common problems with MS Mice, or did someone figure it out and say "Hey I can abuse this!!!"?

People are mentioning a "double click problem." Is this where you left-click once, but the computer registers a double-click? My Intellimouse does that all the time.

Is there a time limit for being able to take advantage of this? I've probably had this mouse for at least five years.

P.S. sorry if these questions have already been answered somewhere. It's a long thread.

Nice. I click to delete a file in my email client and I delete 2. Click to start program in Quick Launch and start 2 instances of it. Click to highlight text to replace and it selects the whole page or back to nothing.
This IS a replacement mouse from a year ago. Now this is bad. I wonder if I can get this replaced, too.

I had a Logitech MX510 mouse with a sticking left button. Called Logitech and after giving them the P/N and S/N over the phone they shipped me a brand new mouse! Keep in mind these mice cost $55 or so at the time! I was VERY impressed and am won over as a Logitech customer. My MX1000 mouse is doing nicely and I know I need not worry if something happens to it.

😀

Cool, Thanx a ton OP! My mouse just started the double clicking thing about 2 weeks ago, I've had it less than 2 years so maybe it will still be under warranty, I hope.

"6) photocopy of the bottom of your mouse, with a setting clear and light enough to show the Product ID information on the mouse."

Haha, I peeled that sticker off my mouse! I guess I'm stuck with it.

it's not a damn DEAL...so it can't be alive or dead. it's a warranty, you ever heard of em? so if you broked your mouse, you can legitimately get a replacement. it's people like you that make me sick, trying to f*cking scam your way to get a free mouse.

edit: and for those who are gonna criticize me...he can look up his own warranty himself and properly call Microsoft himself and do everything to get a mouse. Warranties dont require posting in a forum to get a replacement

I was able to exchange my broken Microsoft Natural keyboards for new ones. Even though this isnt a hot deal, it kinda is because we are turning our trash into somthing usable.

Anyone have the link for keyboards? Damn thing's numpad stopped working a few days ago, hate to buy a new one if it's still under warranty. I can't seem to find a warranty page on the site and I threw the box out. 😛

anyone know if the fax # on the first page still works or do they have a new fax # now because i have a intellimouse to replace =)

yeah, its still valid, i replaced an intellimouse 2 months ago. the thing stopped working all of a sudden and then after i put in the replacement order it started working again. how weird.

i never faxed before so how do i do the layout? do i make a cover page, if so what do i put on it?

or

can i just put all the info name, phone etc. then put picture of the bottom of my mouse on the bottom of my info then just fax it to them?

I certainly hope your a teenager in high school or younger.....if so, forgive me...if not I think you need some separation from your mom for a while until you learn some basic life skills. 😛😉

Just fax a page with all the requested info, fitting it on one page is fine, but organized so they can read it and make sense of it (and know who to send the replacement to)....any time of the day you want.

just got my mouse they gave me a intellimouse explorer 2 and its horrible... really dont like how it looks and feel got my pinky right under my ring finger and all v2 sucks i like v1 and 3 better its taller and such

When you guys sent in Microsoft mouse scans for replacement, did you receive an email confirmation? I sent them a fax last Friday and haven't heard from them yet. 🙁
