Microsoft mouse and keyboard receiver

I have two computers near each other and they both have a microsoft wireless mice. One of them has a microsoft wireless keyboard. The microsoft receivers both pick up the one keyboard and I can't get the other one with the wired keyboard to stop picking up the wireless keyboard.

Is there a way to make the receiver not pick up the keyboard?
The mice work fine together.

Wow, thats a good question. I had a Logitech wireless keyboard which you could encrypt the keyboard with the receiver. That would probably have prevented another keyboard being picked up. I have a Microsoft keyboard now and didn't see any way of doing that.

In device manager, can you disable the unwanted keyboard? When I was using the Logitech keyboard, it came with a mouse I didn't use. So, I disabled the mouse in device manager. Maybe that would work for the keyboard as well.

Did you uninstall or disable? I just disabled and it stayed disabled. If you uninstall, I think it will reinstall each boot.
