Microsoft has a game site called Live Search Club. Basically there are about 10 or so very good word games that you can play and earn tickets based on your progress in the game. The better you do in the game, the more tickets you earn. These are all solo games, you don't play against other people. Basically, time wasters. Anyhoo, you can win prizes based on the number of tickets you earn - PC and Console Games (very, very limited), XBox wireless controllers, movie tickets, music downloads, even Microsoft Vista Home Premium. Looks like you can earn between 15 and 25 tickets, depending on the game and your progress.

Just started this morning, played 5 games and have 100 points.

Marked for later, this looks like a good way to burn time.

Hmm I think it's time to start working towards a 360 controller. I wonder if I can get away with doing this at work today :D

Don't bother with it. Out of the people that played, only like 10% got their stuff (of course, 99% cheated...lol).

I've gotten:
360 Controller
Microsoft Zune

Hey anubis, can you still cheat on this thing? Last thing I heard was nuking...

I did it a couple months ago, got sick of it, have 3000 points. Should just trade them in for a 360 controller, but keep telling myself I'll go back and get more.

Mmm...nothings been banned. My zeroed and nonzeroed got their prizes.

Weird, I got my cheated prizes, but not my legit prizes (I started playing before the macros and hacks, and managed to pull 2x vista ultimates). Got neither of them.

Playing it straight out is a waste of time. You'll probably lose more money on hospital bills for your carpel tunnel surgery.

So, uh.... you want to... help a brother out with some workarounds? ;)

Played it months ago with a few helper applications. Got prizes. Flexicon and Chicktionary are good for points.

I haven't played since the first week of July. The methods I used are unusable by now. (A basic macro, and then a memory hack).

If this is what I think it is, these games are a ploy by Microsoft to drive usage of their search engine. I played some Chicktionary game once and every time you came up with a possible word it automatically performed a search on that word and listed a bunch of results.
They just want to make it look like their search engine gets more traffic than it actually does.

I'm considering shooting for this instead of the 360 controller. I just got a new phone and all the default ringers suck.

Sorry to bump such an old thread - but keep your eyes on your mail. I just today received the copy of Windows Vista that I ordered back on 07-08-2007 from the Live Search Club...

I had two copies ordered, but then had my account zeroed out - so getting this copy today was quite a shock.

I wonder if I'll get that second copy?
