I usually just paypal my wife my share of the rent (she's the organized one of the two of us).

Now, if she hosted an auction for $900 buy it now, and I paid using paybal and live search bonus (8% right now) - would the auction fees nullify any benefit, or is it worth the hassle?

we split bill responsibilities and are newly weds, so we don't have joint checking accounts yet. and I'm terribly unorganized. it's best this way!

dont get joint checking accounts! hahahha, I will never :|.

I do not see it as being an issue..except address may be an issue with paypal?

This sounds like an obnoxious amount of work(and borderline illegal/unethical) just to drop off a freaking rent check.

How in the world did we ever survive before the inception of the interwebs?

*shrug* If you have no qualms about committing fraud, go for it. I hope you get caught, though.

To save 8% less probably 5% ebay/paypal fees on half of his rent.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe if it was 20% off, but it's still fraud.
