We need help on deciding what exactly we need to purchase from Microsoft...but below are our need:

-2 NT Server

Server 1 has 10 clients(on Workstation) connected to it.

Server 2 is a webserver for a small website with SQL 7 running.

If anyone can tell us exactly what licenses and packages we need to get from MS, it would be great! Thanks.

I would probably look at getting a W2K Small Business Server (SBS) with 25 clients access. I believe you get 5 or 25 clients. I think SBS will give you SQL Server license, although I am not sure if you have to use it on the same machine as the SBS server.

I PM'd you the name of a reseller contact, we went around in circles with Microsoft sales, got tired and went with a reseller.

i got something similar, here was the explaination I got

ie if u get sbs 25 client, you can run w2k sbs on 1 server, but if you want to run the sql on another, you'll need to purchase just teh w2k server for the second server and run sql 7 on the second one off the sbs..

i dont know if that is true ie same with back office, that has exchange, sql, etc.. if you want each server to run different things, you purchase 1 back office server license, 2 w2k server license and run w2k backoffice on 1 server, exchange + w2k on another and sql + w2k on the third..

doesn't make sense to me but thats what i been told..
