Use the $10 of $40 in store coupon to sweeten the deal. I picked up the coupon on an in-store flyer.

MS Wireless Optical Mouse 3000
$9.99 x 5 = 49.95 - 10coupon = 39.95 /5 = $7.99 each + tax!

Got the last 6000 on the shelf at a Chicago location (Ashland & Wellington). Thanks! Hope this makes a good replacement for the one I got my mother :)

I got the Wireless Laser Mouse 6000, but after reading lukewarm reviews, I'm going to return it. I would rather have the Notebook Mouse 6000, but that one isn't on sale :(

edit: There is a desktop 6000 and a notebook 6000. Only the desktop version is on sale.

wow nice deals thanks. I won't be able to check the store until tomorrow but there are a couple locations by me so hopefully they'll have something left.

I think I'm still going to go ahead and order the Logitech Wave keyboard and keep this one as a back up. It seems pretty cheaply built, but it's definitely better than the old Gateway keyboard I've been using since my Logitech keyboard went bad a month or so ago...(thought about trying the dishwasher trick with it...:D

wow last time I ever shop at Office Depot. the employees at both locations where I live are a bunch of MORONS. hardly any of the mice had prices marked for them and when I tried to find out if they had any of the ones that were on sale they didn't even know there was a sale. from what I could see on my own though looked like they only had the notebook ones left which I wasn't interested in. I especially liked how all the employees were wearing headsets so they could talk to one another yet they still chose to yell across the store about things. Now I know why there were only two cars parked outside it while the Staples store across the street was packed out.

I wish I had a Staples close to me...Office Depot is about 1-1/2 to 2 miles, the closest Staples is about 10-12 miles...and in a BAD part of town...(but getting slightly better)

Were any of the associates you talked to actually the Tech associates? If not, that would explain why they didn't know there was a sale. And if they were tech associates, they were either new or incompetent.

But the thing is, it isn't always so organized at any given store concerning sales. Thats why your best bet is to just know the SKU for the product you're looking for and go punch it in to the computer terminal. It'll tell you A) The actual price and B) The stock for the item. If it says there are some in stock but you're having trouble finding it, it very well could be in top stock. If you don't see the SKU number in top stock, they might be in lock up.
