Funny thing is, all the people in here hating on Microsoft are sitting there typing it in on their precious little Internet Explorer on Windows 98/2000/XP. So what does that make you? Another sheep or a hypocrite?

Leave it alone already. Dogging Microsoft is just lame. They put out great products and you buy them. Then you bitch because they are too rich. riiiiiight.

Don't make claims without knowing whether they are true or not. Right now I'm posting from W2K using IE 5.5. But I do that against my will. W2K and IE are the company standard and I happen to be on my corporate workstation right now. Once I get home, I'll fire up Linux and surf using Konqueror. I do have W2K installed to play games, and if I have to surf the net while I'm in W2K, I use Opera.

Negative on that one. Haven't paid one cent for MS-software in years. W2K I got for free, as I got Office 97. I haven't invested one cent in MS software, since there is no need. I have found that I can get better software free and legally, why should I pay?

I hate people who rip on MS w/o good reason. If you don't like it, DON'T use it. If you are forced to use it because of work, GET A DIFFERENT JOB! I'm sick of whinners who complain, "I'm forced to use it" all over the place. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Quit or get the company to change.

get your facts straight, they are not stealing.

Exactly what I was thinking. How do you steal something that is free?

I still like the BSD license. It allows microsoft to have atleast some decent code in their software ;)

Nemesis77 - why exactly you took my post to be directed to you and everything about you...i have no idea. Get a grip dude, life isn't about you. My post was on overall statement (hell you didn't even create this post!) to the people in these forums. People bitch about MS - yet they use it all day long and all night long. Hypocritical.

aww, sounds like someone has a chip on the shoulder (correct expression?) about microsoft...

look, they may be a tad anti-competetive and all, but seriously... AOL sucks, and netscape hasnt been good since 4.75. they brought their decline in popularity upon themselves. i stopped using Netscape since they day they released 6.0 and 6.1 or whatever, because it started sucking. i had been using for like 4 years before then. IE is better now and that's the reason i use it. i have no qualms about switching browsers based on quality. let something good comeout, and i'll use it.

yes, i have used linux. i have used the browsers meant for it, such as Konquerer and Mozilla. fact ot the matter is, i just plain like windows better. so, nyah.

:p

I did not take your post as a direct personal attack on me. Why I responded was because you made it clear that you were directing your post to the "anti-MS" people on this thread. Since I an one of those people, I felt that I could respond. And you implied that the people who dislike MS still use their products. I just wanted to point out that that is not necessarily the case.

personally i DO consider microsoft a smart business. Can you explain to me why they arent? They aren't dirty, they are playing within the rules they are given. And even when they do step out of bounds they are always ready to pay the conserquences. they aren't out there murdering linux programmers or anything (unless you think antitrust is a true story or something)

Saying this is stealing basically hurts the open source software community. Microsoft is doing what they are supposed to do (for the most part), even if they are hypocritical and rude about it.
