For anyone who missed out on the Logitech combo deal...

I went lookin for a new keyboard for my mom, and found this smokin deal..

Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Model C19-00330) @ Best Buy for 29.99 - 20 MIR = 9.99 after rebate (ends 1/4/2003) - PM = TAX

Price Match to Office Depot or Circuit City (both have it for $19.99) to make the deal:
29.99
-10.00 PM (OD Item # = 578-908, UPC (for CC, BB, OD) = 805529028357)
-20.00 MIR
----------
- 0.01 + Tax (On $19.99) (for PA total is 1.19 :) )

I have crappy pictures I took of tags from BB, OD, and CC, but they aren't really that clear.. If anyone wants to host them, lemme know (chiefwigms@hotmail.com)

I'm home for break from college, so I won't be checking email that often.. Good Luck!!!
Also, dunno if this is local or all over, so YMMV! (I'm in Plymouth Meeting PA)

Nice deal. Is that one of the new MS keyboards where they screw up the Ins/Del/Home/End/PgUP/PgDN section (they remove the INS key, double the size of the delete key, and rearrange them)? If not, then I'm gonna head down to pick this up tomorrow!!

:)

Technically BB has a 110% PM gaurantee so you could get it cheaper.

That's the Office Keyboard. I have it, and it is a great keyboard, but the re-arranging of those buttons makes it suck bad. I need a new one

yeah, they screw with the buttons a bit on the office keyboard, but the cut copy paste buttons have to be the greatest thing ever created. wtf took them so long to think of that?

Mine has cut, copy, and paste buttons.... they are called Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, and Ctrl+V :)

If this is a MS rebate it will come super fast... MS doesn't waste anytime cutting rebate checks, I usually get their rebates in a couple weeks from sending them out.

Yeah can someone post a link to the rebate for this? I can't seem to find it on the BB site.

Thanx

Worked for me. Cost was $0.59 AR. Bought keyboard. Dropped it off in the car. Came back to see CSR. Had no ad so I told CSR that OD and CC had it. He asked if it was at the B&M and I said yes. He called to verify (not sure which store) and took what seemed like 10 minutes on the phone then gave me the PM. BTW this is B&M only, rebate prints out at register during checkout. Thanks a lot!

29.99
+1.95 tax (IL 6.5%)
---------------------------
31.94
-11.72 (110% PM + 0.72 tax adjustment)
-20.00 rebate
------------------------
0.22
0.37 stamp
--------------------
0.59 cost to me

Might want to wait till next week to PM - OfficeMax will have the keyboard on sale for $9.99 (no rebate) starting Sunday (1/5/03). By then BestBuy's rebate is over, so it should be an easy PM for $10 back in your pocket. :)

I have never done a PM but I think I am going to try it on this keyboard. 1 question do I have to buy it first at BB then walk back in and say that CC or OD has it cheaper or can I do it before I buy it at BB and just try to get them to sell it to me for 19???? thus eliminating having to go back into BB not sure if their is a proceedure that you should follow

If you're looking to save a trip to BB then you buy the keyboard first and then goto the fiancing counter with receipt in hand. Then tell them to pricematch it but keep the rebate form and rebate receipt hidden.

Managed to do it just now at the Woodbridge BB in NJ. Met an anandtecher there as well :).

I had some trouble getting a pricematch for the dumbest reason. Apparently I needed an ad proving that the deal was at OD, instead of being able to ask them to verify price and stock over the phone. I mentioned that the fellow anandtecher had managed to do it just 5 minutes ago, and that the deal was exactly the same. The bitch then pointed out the ad he had used that was behind the counter then told me it was "one ad per person". I was dumbfounded. She had the proof right there, and showed it to me, and wouldnt use it. This has to be the most absurd reason for denying a pricematch. I started raisng my voice, and then asked for a manager. The manager authorized the pm, and just asked that next time I bring in the ad. God BB sucks.
