Microsoft hotfix

I own an X2 4400+ and downloaded the dual core drivers from AMD, but I have heard about a "Hotfix" from Microsoft that I have not downloaded. I don't use the cool-n-quiet feature. Do I need that hotfix from Microsoft?

No, unless your having some other specific problems, ie: lockups or stuttering in games.

Then you could try runing the hotfix.

I personaly haven't needed it on my dual core system.

When i had a dual core 165 i installed the hotfix just to be sure. You may not need it but it won't hurt to update with the hotfix either.
