I have a gateway laptop, one of the "fixes" totally busted my wifi

I tried rollbacks / uninstalls / every trick in the book - apparently it's a known issue with this particular Gateway model with this particular Intel wifi and which happens only with this particular MS fix ... and the only way out is to reinstall the OS

Kinda lucky that the laptop is new so I only had a couple of games (WoW, SWG and Age of Conan installed) but the wipe took 1hr 15mins and I'll be downloading the rest of the crap till lord have mercy on my soul when ...

GAH !!!

I give myself a 3/10

I honestly don't believe you that the only way to fix it is to reinstall. Also, this has nothing to do with Intel

intel wifi card?

This clearly has nothing to do with the wifi card in terms of what is to blame for the problem. It works in other systems, therefore the problem is what it is connecting to.
