It is essentially Apple's Magic Mouse but for Windows. I don't even know why Microsoft would make it, the Magic Mouse is a piece of shit lol

I actually like the magic mouse on Lion.

Nothing can match Apple's touchpad though. I normally don't like touchpads at all but the gestures on my macbook pro are perfect. Whenever I use a windows notebook I shudder at the thought of using one of those touchpads. The buttons on (most) are the worst. WAY too hard to depress for my fingers.

I tried the arc mouse touch and found it overly nice but its length and size seems to stress my hand after extended use. Tracking was good on the sofa but the Logitech Couch Mouse wins in that department plus its cheaper.

Oh and the magic mouse bluetooth actually can track unlike most pc products. I'm far from an Apple fan or PC hater, just echoing my experiences.

On most of the PCs, yes. The ASUS ones are horribly designed. My thumb hurts in minutes and I have to resort to two hand operation which is ridiculous. D:

If PC makers would take lessons from Apple the design would be far more ergonomic. MS is getting the idea but I fear their software required messes things up for the masses.

I think it has more to do with how the button on the trackpad is designed. Most manufacturers think it's a simple up and down motion. When in actuality it's a bit more horizontal.

A properly designed button or key will actuate with the same amount of force whether applied at the edge/corner or in the middle, etc.

They are just too damn stiff!

My right button on my laptop gets more use than the left button does.

BTW, those mice look like junk IMO.

Tap to click works perfect on the Mac. On the PC it's quite finicky at best.

The magic mouse held in hand (yes you cannot actually make a judgement from a picture) is made similar to most Apple products. The top plastic won't wear off like most mice will.

It does NOT work well off desk, however. On the floor, panting leg, etc. The couch mouse seems to work better but needs a USB dong to work. Even the snubbies are very small it's nice not needing anything at all with bluetooth.

You want the most useless trackpad on a pc ever? Try the HP envy13 notebook. Sad thing is it even tries to look like a Mac. It's a neat notebook and pretty snappy but the trackpad is a prime example of epic fail.
 
Looks like y'all Mactards forgot the shit tracking, the abysmal ergonomics and the complete futility of trying more complex gestures on a totally smooth surface. Basically, everything the MS Touch Mouse is not.

As for the Magic Fingerpaintpad? If you're uncoordinated enough to consider it the best input device, good luck to you. I use one on one of my desk side-mounted Crapbook Pro's as I have no room for a mouse. Oh, and one on top of my keyboard (music). I see absolutely no need for it when I have room for a pointing device worth a damn. Well, TBH I see no need for crApples unless something I'm doing specifically needs OS X, but that's by the by.
