Microsoft Check for Piracy

Apperently they turned on the feature.

"Microsoft will begin checking for pirated copies of its Windows software when users attempt to update. Security updates are supposed to be exempt from the check. Upon detection of pirated software the user will be given the oppportunity to purchase a legitimate copy of the software for a discounted price, upon providing proof of purchase etc."

Will you get a legit version?

Where's the poll option for "Haha. F'ing cheapass pirates get what they pay for. Glad I bought mine."

This poll sucks.

i can get you one then. 🙂

they will sitll give security updates so im not sure why people would be tempted to spend money and if they can get it at a discount then everyone will pirate it and then buy it at discount...like wtf. Last i herd they did this in India and not America.

How exactly are they checking? I ask this because I've installed my copies of windows XP so many times that now whenever I try to activate it, the POS makes me call in and they tell me I've activated it too many times. Hopefully they don't automate this crap based on that information.
