I'll agree with you except I enjoy Tiger Woods 04 more than Links '04

No, my Xbox doesn't have a big button, all my controllers fear the mighty A Button.
Actual conversation between a Nintendo GameCube purchaser and his 6 year old daughter:

"Daddy, how do I play funny jumpy game?"
"Just keep hitting that big button until you jumpy over everything, honey."
LMAO - are you sure it wasn't a conversation between aves2k and ohtwell?
OH SNAP!

IMO Tiger has a vastly better single player game, but EA's online support is a joke compared to Links over Xbox Live.

Yep... No online support = No #1 ranking.

Aside from the childish bashing of the Gamecube (Metroid Prime, Mario Kart, Resident Evil anyone?), the move for Microsoft to shelve their sports titles for a year is a good one. Only thing is, I'm afraid they'll waste the year they're giving themselves, and still come out with a shotty product.

If you read the interview (link in the first post), the guy being interviewed kept saying how they (Microsoft) really thought their game were good this past year, but the public thought different. Well, apparently they don't know how sports games are supposed to be played. If they thought last year's titles were good, I'd hate to see what they think is good in a couple of years. The door is still wide open for them to screw up again.

Why oh why doesn't sports developers open up a couple of email lines and let people email them directly on what they think should be included in the game?

Childish bashing is the sound of a person playing the Gamecube :) BTW thanks for naming a super-kiddy game in your supposed refute of the childish nature of GC games ;)

I suppose it's better than needing to have a conversation with my wife about how to do this. :p
I'm not sure what's worse - my ineptness, or your tenacity in regards to documenting and organizing threads I wrote less than manly things in :p

I don't document them! Full text search is back and it makes it too easy! :p

Any adult who doesn't enjoy Mario Kart has a lot of growing up to do.

Own an Xbox and had ESPN NFL 2k3 and now have Fever 2003. Both are ok. I'm not a hardcore sports fan, but when company's over, especially cousins, we play football. I honestly think both are about the same. Both have their pros and cons. To say that one was dramatically better than the other, if it were the Pepsi challenge, I couldn't say in a double blind test.

In any case, with all of 1st party titles gone, there's really only one choice now, ESPN. No matter how good of a game EA has, with no online support, it's crap to me.

*runs off to play SC: Pandora Tomorrow on my Xbox*

but this really isn't a bad thing, it shows they're not like EA and only touch up one thing or another, repackage it and sell it for $50

they actually want to greatly improve their sports games, which is a good thing
