No, they will not ship to your address. You have to attend to pick up at event. An OEM rep email me to say that their web site didn't have the capablility to handle this "pick up" DIY kit event, even though it say ship to address. Someone here says the New Jersey event say they will ship it, but I guess someone goofed in organizing the event.

I'm at the Milpitas, CA event now and they will upgrade us on the DIY kit to the AMD 630 quad core (2.8 GHZ) instead of the 620....guess they don't have enough 620 over here...

So far it's good 🙂

Sensai, I didn't get a chance to check this message before I left. I would contact the OEM Sales Center that had a "Contact Us" llink at the bottom of the DIY Kit web page. Link is:

Fill out the question along with your email address and they will get back to you. It took them 1-3 days before I got some questions answered, so be patient. Remember there are alot of people emailing them also. Good Luck...hope you get an answer soon. 🙂 Let us know how it goes.

Ask them if they can send you the AMD 630 quad core for just being late.😉

Email from OEM Sales Center (Thursday, November 12)

"We are waiting to receive the list of Lynwood attendees who are to receive the kit via mail. We will follow up with you as soon as we receive the list and provide an expected shipment date.

Lynnwood (north of Seattle) is only 16.7 miles to where OEM Sales is located in downtown Seattle. They had to drive past it on I-5 on their way to the Milipitas, CA whether they drove or flew (SEATAC airport is south of Seattle). They couldn't just drop the list off?

The pallet of boxes looked too small for the number of people in line (easily 90% of the attendees), so I got on the phone and conducted some business calls until the line was gone. The ladies thought they would mail me the kit "sometime next week". That was fine, considering there was no way I was standing in line. But OEM Sales is still waiting on the list, strange. At least they have not charged my credit card yet (or three times). I did mention that my "business associate" received the AMD 630 and asked if I should expect the same kit configuration (thank you JimLee2009). I'll report when I get more info or a kit.

Was at the Irvine, CA show today they upgraded everyone to the 630 CPU. 2 pallets of DIY kits and handing them out went really quick!!

Will they let you pick it up at the OEM Sales building, since Lynnwood is close by? It looks like alot of last minute people ordering it at the event, so they ran out. I think people who ordered this over the internet before the day of the event should be first serve on the pick up. The AMD 630 quad is a decent processor...$22 more than the 620. Good luck on the build. BTW the Win 7 disc is only a 64 bit dvd disc. There is no 32 bit as someone clams. 64 is good for this build, since you can utilize more than 4 gigs of ddr3 memory.
