I'm in for Atlanta. Never been to one of these. I don't really have a business though. Just Non-profit work I do on the side. That good enough? 😛

Hello neighbors.

Want meet up?

Got the day cleared with my boss so I'm 100% going.

You can use any email account as a MS Live account.

You don't have to make a new email account or anything.

Lameness not having in the Twin Cities this year 🙁

I would definitely have snagged a bundle this year, too...

What is ASUS 785 graphics board?
It would be nice if 5870 graphics would be sold @ reasonable cost in the package.

I bet this will be the mobo they use, or something similar. This is going to be great for my HTPC, I just hope they keep the kit to $200 or less (probably wishful thinking, but who knows).

Registered for the 1st event on the calendar (Oct 13) in Houston. I'll report back with more info later that afternoon. 🙂

I'd be curious to know the cost of the DIY kit. I'm not sure why they haven't updated that information yet since it's only 7 days away. You would think it would be on the website by now.

thinking about signing up for houston. there's no way i can be there even most of the day. i wonder if i can just get there at the end and still get a system?

Thanks. Done. Burbank, Ca is just a few minutes drive from here. 😎

Price has been posted, it is $189 for the kit (Win 7 Ultimate, Athlon II 620 quad-core, unspecified Asus mobo w/785g IGP).

The Microsoft / AMD Ready To Launch Tour DIY Kit is eligible for purchase only by registered attendees of the launch tour. The DIY kit contains:

* One full version Windows 7 Ultimate Not For Resale (NFR) copy
* AMD Athlon II X4 620 quad-core processor
* Asus motherboard with AMD 785G integrated graphics chipset

Please Note:

* Each attendee is eligible to purchase only one kit
* To redeem the kit, make sure you carry a printout of the confirmation of the kit purchase to the event. The kit will be handed out at the venue at the end of the event only upon confirmation of purchase
* No refunds will be handed out for kits purchased
* None of the payment being charged is towards the Windows 7 Ultimate NFR copy included in this kit
* If you are not a member already, by purchasing this kit you are agreeing to be registered as member of the AMD Partner Program.

A few things:
First, what is the AMD partner program?
Second, the link shows the product as out of stock. Does that mean it's sold out already, or that it hasn't gone on sale yet?

$189 eh? a bit higher than what I was expecting. I'll have to re-think if I really need the combo lol.

From the link Terzo posted theres a pic of the Asus motherboard that shows its a ASUS M4A785TD-V

Here is a newegg link
