I found a site that has the 5-button optical mouse for $22+shipping. I saw the same item some place else for $21 but they require you to purchase with hardware. Kinda stupid but whatever. www.gtrdirect.com has it and they don't require you to purchase with hardware so that's a plus.

Do a search for GTR-MS19004-3-SP

I'm bout to pick up 3 for myself.

Edit: Actually I just saw it on the specials page as well, check it out.

Dude, great looking out. That is cheap. Especially considering no rebates. They have a limit quantity, and I got two. hahaha

UPS is $8.95 to California. But it's shipping from New York, so it might be cheaper if you're closer.

How about TCWO? They require you to buy something else, but they arent charging for shipping! A 6pack of thumbscrews for $4 or a power splitter for $2 to satisfy buying with something and you get a slightly better deal.
hans
EDIT:
shipping from gtrdirect is $8.95 to Chicago too, I think it's prolly a flat fee.
thanks tench

If you look around you can find them in 5 packs for cheaper.

I buy the five button MS Optical Intellimouses locally in 5packs for a little under $100

I got shipping $7.71 into New Jersey. After taxes, I can't imagine it being less in NY state. ;)

And you've got your personal info in that link, mrhans.

eh i wonder if a 6pack of thumbscrew qualifies as a bundled purchase. i mean, wouldn't they be smart enough to not let peeps work around their terms of purchase for that item? i remember seeing it somewhere else but you HAD to purchase HARDWARE. blah i'm happy, i found it as a great deal and i'm sticking to it. cheers

Thanks for the info guys, I've been looking for a op. mouse for some time. Although shipping is $7.90 in NY I think I got a good deal since I had to pick up some parts for my systems. They have a deal for a Sony Floppy drive that I also picked up for $9.00 as well.

Good deal if you need one.

that's not too bad either, although that is not the same mouse, it's only a 3-button (2buttons and wheel button), i wish MS would come out with a mouse with like 8 buttons, that would rock, especially for gaming haha!

Oops. Ya, it's only 3 buttons I guess. Cheap though for an optical.

I have the MS Explorer (original one- I don't like the new version as much) on my main PC and my workshop PC, server & my wife's PC have the 5 button MS Intellimouse Optical. It's amazing how quick you get used to those extra buttons. In gaming, but main as the back & forward in Internet Explorer.

nah its not the explorer, the explorer is the silver one but this white one is pretty much the same thing. the only difference is:

intellimouse explorer: silver, 5-buttons, left click, right click, middle click/wheel, 2 thumb clicks
intellimouse optical: white, 5-buttons, left click, right click, middle click/wheel, 1 thumb click (left), 1 ringfinger/pinky click (right)

i have the original explorer as well Nordic, great mouse, I also have the newer explorer, there's no difference except for shape of the mouse and shape of the thumb buttons. I use the big button for "MY COMPUTER" and the small one for SHOW/HIDE Desktop. All in all 5-button optical mouses rock big time

http://www.bestbyte.net/ has it for $23.00 shipped all by itslf. With a great deal on the AX-7 heatsink, only $24.00 plus shipping. I like this place, not the hugest selection of stuff, but great prices and shipping cost is never more than $5 or $6! :D

For your eight fingered hand right?

Haaa you know for gaming, counter-strike, shoot, jump, use, reload, maybe have the different thumb buttons send out macros "FALL BACK!" or "CHARGE!" or "the enemy has penetrated!". endless possibilities! Think of all the combinations!

I have received my mouse shipment today. These 5 button mouses are the real thing, I compared them to the retail one I have(over paid at $39 for it, plus tax). These new mouses are great.
The packaging was great, but nothing beats the prices.
I am very happy with the performance of this company. Just placed another order, for a couple of hard drives, regular CD-ROMs and burners. Much better prices than CompUSA, Staples......... These people seem to be really on the ball with their fast shipping and confirmations.

Thanks for the site recommendation.
