Microsoft 3 for 1 ?

It would be smart. Many people with multiple systems would only pay to upgrade their newest machine and leave all the others on whatever older OS they have on it. If they don't have to pay full price for more machines I think they'd be willing to do it.

This is what I would normally do, but with the $49 preorder special, I ordered 2 copies to upgrade my desktop and laptop.

I think this is a good idea to take advantage of people who have more than one computer. It will encourage people to buy the retail version instead of just buying an oem or upgrade here and there. It would probably help cut down on some of the piracy and improper licensing.

very cool. we have 3 computers (4 if i ever get a cheap v-card for my daughters) and it would be nice to have a family package

Nice that they're doing that. I still won't bother upgrading my laptop though - not worth the hassle of trying to find drivers or just reconfiguring everything.

Same here. The home version ended up costing $43/copy for lappy and desktop.

My Linux license cost me a couple of blank DVD.

Sweet, how many hours you clocked up in Mass Effect on that system?

Oh... right 🙁
<--- Don't play computer game.

If game is what I wanted then a Wii or PS3 would be a better buy.

So no family pack for buisiness version? Microsoft is really screwing over its customers.

How is anyone getting screwed? No one has payed for the damn thing yet. If you don't like the prices, don't buy the software.

The Beta recognized everything on my Dell Laptop. I haven't had to install a driver since.

A family pack for business versions? That doesn't even make sense.

I love the comments of the article. First they complain about OS being too expensive, then when Microsoft offers something similar to what apple does they complain about it not being original.

Haha, that is funny. It's a family-uniness Pack! Can't you just buy one physical copy and a handful of licenses and save some dough?
