Too true. I showed up on Sunday and my Staples was sold out....but Walmart carries the same one and they were happy to price match. It was totally painless. All they wanted was to be able to keep the section of the ad that listed the price. May still be worth a try.

I believe the sale goes all week... and I was lucky to grab one. Works great, as long as you stick to the 6' radius to the receiver.
 
A really good price and a nice upgrade. However, all were gone by 10:01 at my Staples. They had a total of 8 in stock. A lady told me that when the sale went on-line at 1AM, and the on-line store was immediately OOS. So... it was a HOT deal, if you were there when the store opened. Sort of like the old Filene's Bargain Basement day after Thanksgiving sales.

I think I'll go by Wally World on the way home from work & see if they have it & will do a price match.
Assuming they have it, they may argue that the nearest Staples is about 60 miles away (in 3 different directions)...of course there are Wally Worlds near those Staples.
 
LOL, both walmart stores are out, both staples stores are out including their replacement products, best buy is out and i didn't make it to circuit city before they closed but i'm sure it's the same thing 🙁
 
PRICE MATCH!!!! I did a price match at Office Depot. They price match with Staples and Staples.com. I got two sets, about 31 bucks total ...Goes nice with my PS3 🙂
 
Drats...the Wally World where I live doesn't carry the 4000 combo. Guess i'll call the other one that's near & see if they got it. If not, then i'll have to decide if it's worth the hassle of checking the other one that's an hour away or the OD or CC that's also an hour away. Maybe I could call 1-800-Wal-Mart & see if they'll do an online pricematch.

NIce job. I tried the same thing but my local BB was oos. They had no problem with the price match and my $15 GC just no stock. I'm considering making the drive to Nashua, NH just get a "free" keyboard and mouse. Good job Denithor.

 
Just saw this a few hours ago. Had to drive 15 minutes out of town to where I could find the Sunday paper and then back to my local Wal-mart. Luckily they had 2 in stock, and were painlessly able to price match both of them. I already have two that I purchased from ebay for $30 each about a year ago, yet it still doesnt hurt to have backups.
 
I tried this out too...only store around here that had it was Circuit City, I went in Staples to grab a flyer, drove to CC, picked this up off the shelf, took it to the customer service desk and asked for a pricematch. Girl there said no problem. 🙂

Total price for me, 8.99 out the door, since they match the sale price plus 10% of the difference. Not as good as Denithor, but im very happy.

After I left I called my mom who was out shopping and told her to do the same...when she went in, they hassled her, even called Staples to ask if it was in-stock, and since they were sold out, they wouldn't give her the price. None of that with me obviously...someone must have caught on or something after I had left.
 
LOL I tried to score one yesterday at my CC and the girl at the CS desk gave me a 100% PM. I said hey, isn't it supposed to be 110%? She called the mgr. over (doh!) and sure enough he denied the PM because it was a limited qty. sale. He said they're supposed to verify stock at Staples anyway so it's YMMV for the PM's.
 
Headed to the local Staples this AM after work hoping they would still have some, knowing that my chances were slim and I was right, OOS. No real loss, was to be expected. Headed over to the Walmart right next door(walking distance) to do some regular shopping and decided while there to just check and see if they had any. Lo and behold 1 on the shelf, back to Staples to get a flyer. Walmart priced matched no problem. 15.96 out the door. A happy camper. Hopefully will work decent for the HTPC.
 
For those in the Duluth, GA area: I went to the Staples on Pleasant Hill Rd and they were sold out. I then took a flier down the street to Wal-Mart and they price-matched it w/o question. Had two left on the shelf when I left 15 mins ago.
 
Picked up three today for 14.98 with the Staples circular at two different Walmart's in North Alabama. Hwy 20 in Madison is OOS, but I only took 1 of 6 from the Univeristy Drive Walmart in Huntsville.

Just get in line to price match...don't got to customer service. The manager has to come over to OK the deal, but neither took the time to call the local Staples (which are all OOS), since there was a line of customers behind me.



 
It's slightly curved, but not so much that it affects the way you type.

I just got back from the neighboring city, and there were two siting on the shelf. They almost didn't price match, but the CSM approved it. These two I'll take back to my walmart and get a gift card with $130 plus tax back on em. Then I'll get a really nice keyboard. That's my moral fiber for ya.

I'm sick and tired of trying to get this deal with the MS keyboard/mouse:

Went into one Staples, and told to call them back next day at noon, I did.

They said call back 6 hours later.

I did and was told to call 3 days later at noon.

I did, and had to call back after they unloaded the truck, another 2 hours.

They told me nope, and gave me the number of another staples.

I called them and they had me call another, who their system said had 2.

They said they didn't and had me call back next day at noon when another truck would have unloaded.

They said call back 2 hours later (today) and I did and they said nope, didn't have any.

I give up. What a bunch of douches. And they told me they would be frowned upon if they subbed the Logitech. Screw it. I guess I should have gone to CC and tried to price match, something I think I've only tried once. It's gonna rain like hell tomorrow and probably won't bother.
