Micropro.Com (Need References) Anyone ?

I was going to purchase my components from Mwave and let them put the PC together for me for $80, but I just cruised over to Micropro. The prices for components at Micropro are comparible to Mwave and they don't charge for building the PC. Better yet, since they are in Ohio I don't have to pay sales tax, which I would with Mwave and that cost is huge compared to shipping.

I'm looking for any feedback on this company I can find.

Anyone?

Thank you in advance.

I live about 5 miles from Micropro. That is where I buy all of my stuff if I don't want to wait to get it shipped from elsewhere. They have always been good to me.

Got a lot from MicroPro - they are local company here in Cleveland. No problems.
Mostly parts, MB+CPU, monitor.
Have no shipping experience with them.

Terrapin, I'd buy it from MicroPro if you are going to save all that money... If you are a complete novice at building computers I wouldn't worry about it because you can always ask here about problems and I know many people will be willing to help you. (My idea was since MicroPro does it free they might not build it correctly... but still get it to the point of making it work.)

Reseller Ratings:
Micro Pro Scored well on Reseller Ratings As did Mwave.

Thanks guys!

Good point paruhd0x.

Actually Micropro doesn't carry the Plextor CD-ROM and Plextor Burner I want, so what I'll probably do is have them put everything else together and I'll just take care of the components on my own.

I know that AMD is the most cost effective way to go these days but I'm going Intel. Here's what I plan on building:

Asus CUSL2 815 E MB
Intel PIII 1gig
512 Micron 133cas2 Ram
Adaptec 29160 160 Ultra Controller
Seagate Cheeta X15 HD
Plextor cd-rom, 40 Max Ultra Wide scsi
Plextor cd-rw, 32/12/10, scsi
Hercules Ultra 64mb Vid Card (I know I know..quiet) 😉
SB Live Platinum
Intel Ethernet Pro 10/100
In Win Q 500 Tower 300w
Win 2K Pro OS

I would buy it from monarchcomputer they seem to have the best prices. Maybe I'm wrong but when I last checked

I ordered a MB from MicroPro by phone on a Thursday, sales rep said they had 6 in stock and I would have it by Wednesday. The Thursday after it was due to me I called them up and found out they were backordered, "something wrong with the truck in California, they will be here on Monday." Called them on the following Tuesday, " we don't have any in stock and don't know when we will." Then why did you tell me you had 6 in-stock when I ordered? :|

I always got through to a person pretty quick when calling, 2-3 minutes max. I called to cancel my order and was placed on hold for 45 minutes. :| Hung up and called back and told them I wanted to check my order. Call was answered quickly and told them to cancel it.
