Microphone/Sound Driver Problems

When i use my microphone, i can only have one program that uses a microphone. for example if i use a program like ventrilo/rogerwilco/teamspeak, then i open a game like counter-strike were it has a ingame microphone, or open another instance of ventrilo it will give me a error on the 2nd program and says failed to open sound device. I reformatted and it worked before i reformatted were i could use my microphone in multiple instances. I tried unistalling my c-media driver, then using my sound card driver that came w/ the cd, and then tried default windows driver again, nothing helped.

I don't believe you can have more than one program using the microphone at one time.

You can uncheck microphone use in Counter Strike if you are already using Ventrilo et al. Otherwise just stick to one application at a time.
