microphone into the computer

so ive recently started working with a radio station and ive been learning to produce commercials and what not on my computer.. however, ive been having to go into the station to do all my recording...
anyways, the station has given me some adobe audition (cool edit pro) software and now i need to buy a sound card that i can record directly from a mic onto my computer with...

so, basically what i'm asking is what is the best sound card i can buy at a reasonable price (say upto about 125$)? i have a shure sm58 mic, so i would prefer if the sound card had xlr input, but quarters would be fine... i really know nothing about this, so i would need a sound card as well as a preamp to power the mic im guessing, unless some sound cards actually include a preamp with them...

Don't listen to one person on this board. Find help from audio professionals, not PC enthusiasts.

EDIT: You'll need to get something better than an SM-58 for pro audio. Much better. At the very least, it should be a condenser mic, not a dynamic like the SM-58. Go talk to audio people; they can help you, not us.

I would suggest that too.

Get advice from someone who actually does something like this for a living.
