microphone acting up

Something is wrong with my microphone. It works, just really badly. I have to scream as loud as i can to be heard in teamspeak. my sound card is the onboard sound card for the asrock k7s41gx mobo (c-media 3d audio). I've checked all my system settings, and the microphone levels are at the highest. Wahts wrong?

Sounds like you don't have a preamp. Microphones need to be amplified before line in.

more info plz like how long you have had what microphone/headset.

Have you tested another microphone? If another one has the same problem then you know its hardware/software on your computer and not your mic.

Yea ive tested the headset. The headset works on my intel (has been for 6months now). I'm pretty sure its teh hardware, cuz i heard the onboard audio on the K7s41gx was pretty bad.
