I have the chance to get a Micron 19" Trinitron monitor. Question being, who makes these? The model is a 900mx. It looks great and has BNC, 15 bin connectors. Anyone have any ideas or experience with these?

I had a couple of them at work and I HATED them.. When I would set the resolution higher than 640x480, any text on the screen would be blury. This happened on both monitors we had using different video cards.. Anyway, we replaced them with a couple of ViewSonics.......

well that could have been from the video card in your system at work...that tends to cause that on screen blur especially in lettering ....makes it real bad on the eyes...if the price is good on the monitor and you like the way it looks and the resolutions and refresh rates are the spects you need then go for it.

I purchased a 900mx with an HP system on Monday. It's Sony's tube but I have no idea who puts it together for Micron. Regardless, it's a great monitor . . . maybe. After the banality of registering with HP I fired up a DVD. The picture was fantastic until the trailer neared completion. The screen became totally garbled. I exited to the desktop which was a mess as well. Four hours on my own and 2 hours of HP tech support leads me to believe it was a crappy card (nVidia16MBTNTAGP). The strange part is that everything if fine as long as the resolution is set to 640x480x16, every other combination is useless. My advice would be to check on card compatibility before parting with your cash.

I stated in my post that I had used different video cards to eliminate that possiblility. I tried an Ati Mach64vt, Nvidia TNT2, and an matrox g400 and all three of these video cards produced the same results...
