good point. i hope they will give free shipping on these.

It is like ballistix without heatsinks and not the guaranteed latency, a OCZ value series, if you want to think of it like that, without all the voltage and less potential 🙂

so youre saying the corsair value sets are better than crucial. I have crucial 768 ddr on my system and theyre running great however they're only pc2100 that's why i might get these 512 pc3200 asap coz I run a lot of programs at once.

Not sure about how current crucial 3200 fares, but I got two sticks of 256MB PC2100 back in the old days (before even PC2700 became official) and I managed to clock the ram up to 173MHz (past PC2700) at CL3. Incredible stuff rated really conservatively 🙂

Lol, Crucial is a division of Micron, so they use Micron chips. Of course, you can also find cheap no-name brand ram that place Micron chips on poor quality PCB, making for poor quality ram.

That's because Crucial is owned by Micron. I'm not sure how Crucial is for overclocking/volting, but if you want some solid, solid ram that will last for years and years, Crucial is still King.

Nah, Crucial and Micron are two totally different companies as Micron makes PCs.

Micron's core business is memory products.

see www.micron.com for more details.

They are one of the few true high quality manufacturers out there.

Go to Crucial's website. Under it's logo it says "Crucial Technologies -a Division of Micron"

Crucial's company history

So in 1996, Micron responded to a growing demand for high-quality memory upgrades among end users who wanted the best possible performance from their systems. Micron launched Crucial Technology in November of that year, and for the first time, end users had the opportunity to buy directly from the manufacturer the same memory modules bought by the world's major OEMs for original installation in their systems

I thought MicronPC was a totally different company altogether.

kickerf1 - if you run lots of programs at once, less RAM is not the way to go.

Man Blain, I couldn't agree more, there seem to be more and more n00bs everytime I bother reading these things...
