So i was about to pull the trigger on a 256gb indilinx drive (c225 since it's in stock @ newegg), when i saw this thread. i was in a huge hurry to reconfigure my storage arrays, but considering their boasts on performance and the fact that Q1 isnt that far away, it would probably be worth the wait one would think. anyone think waiting for a retail release of these drives is a mistake? the performance of them seems simply amazing, and the price/GB is identical to an indilinx drive (patriot or crucial), which is a really compelling reason to wait since they look to be faster than an X25-E

"Micron is targeting its drive at equipment manufacturers and said volume pricing for the C300 SSD in quantities greater than 1,000 units would be $350 for the 128GB model and $715 for the 256GB drive."

Which means we'll probably see them in Newegg for about $500.00 for the 128GB and $1,000.00 for the 256GB. :(

More speed is always a good thing, but right now I wish SSD manufacturers would focus on getting drives with the speeds / capacities we already have down to a price more people could afford. 128GB for around $100-150 is what I'm hoping for.

Then, as SSD adoption grows, it'll increase revenue, which will give the manufacturers the funds they need to build bigger, faster, and cheaper SSDs.
