Thank you that was helpful, I remember going to CompUSA for the release of Windows XP, I was in line. People were waiting in their cars and when the first car door slammed everybody got into line. They were giving away lots of stuff back then!

It all depends on how much supply your local MC gets and how much demand there is in your area. Back in the crypto craze, people were lined up all night to get their hands on Nvidia 3000 and AMD 6000 series cards. That was in the Kansas City area but I hear it was similar in other places.

I doubt the demand will be like it was back then but the safe answer is "all night" (probably not the one you want to hear 😄).
 
Does your microcenter have a discord? Mine in Pa does and there's a guy that has been buying there for years who is pretty close with the staff.

He's told us that stock will be plenty. On 40 series release they still had 4090's well into the evening of launch day.

But people will be camping starting 4-5am regardless.

I will just go during lunch to see if anything is left.
