Microcenter strategy: OEM 6600 is $10 more than retail

I bought an E6400 from the Cincinnati store last week. I didn't need the heatsink and my warranty was going to be voided anyway with the OC. I'm at 3.2 GHz with it.
 
You mean, they have the E6600's advertised fo $339. A lot of places do that, across a range of prices, but virtually no-one actually has the retail version of the E6600 in stock and ready to ship.

I actually placed an order for the microcenter E6600 for in-store pickup, and they automatically canceled it because they don't actually have any on hand.
