Microcenter Return - Odds?

Im about to buy a bundle of computer parts, all of them are used but 16gb of memory is brand new sealed. I really wanted a different memory kit, since its unopened what are the chances microcenter will let me exchange it?

I wont have a receipt but I will ask the seller where he bought it, im guessing microcenter due to location.
 
If they carry it as a SKU then a store typically will let you exchange/return it for store credit.

You can always say someone got it for you as a gift there and they'll be more accommodating.
 
I guess I should point out that in all likelihood, you won't be able to tell the difference between the ram you have, and the rim you want to, so it's probably always wasted effort anyway.

He wants the ram with the flashing lights. Flashing lights make it go faster.
