Microcenter Presidents Day sale

I certainly won't stand outside waiting for the store to open just to be able to buy a discounted item. If that is what Microcenter has turned into then they will learn that there are a multitude of better places to shop.

I remember when they first opened. Was the best place to shop for computer stuff. Then gradually it went downhill. Dumbed down staff and prices that became truly stupid. Selection also decreased.

I'll head by a lunch (Marietta Georgia store) and see whats its like, since my lunch is at 1030 it will be interesting to see whats left

My wife was home today and I asked her to pick up a w/l xbox 360 controller. She was kinda scared by the geeks. She said something to the effect of "You computer nerds are strange".

She got there after the store opened and got the controller. I asked her if there was still coupons available for the 32" hd lcd for $399 and she said yes and picked one up.

Is this tv worth keeping??? I think we have until 2:00 today. I think I might have her pick it up and do some research and make a decision by tomorrow.

Got to MC just as the line was entering. Walked to the video game canter and there was a wall full of wireless 360 controllers. Picked up two and left in under 5 minutes. That was a great deal.

Got in just after 10am (there was a line of 30 people in front of me).
Picked up 4 w/l controllers and couple of QCK and there is still a ton left in the cage.
Picked up a receiver as well for w/l controller ($19.99 regular price).
Installed and played Madden NFL07 in a minute using the new w/l controller.
Woot! I'm now totally w/l on both 360 and pc whille gaming.
