MicroCenter: Diskeeper 8.0 Pro, 50% off

Just saw their Labor Day ads--marked down to $24.99. I've been a satisfied user for many years--yeah, v.6.0 had a couple of rough edges, but 8.0 rocks.

Great product and great deal, but make sure this product will work with your operating system. This is the "Home Edition" and does not work with Windows XP Professional according to the site.

Its true, the home edition WILL NOT work with XP Professional. Nor will it work with Windows 2000 Professional, and if you really are an old foggy, NT 4 Workstation.

That's weird. This is the first time I've heard that software won't work with Pro, but will work with Home.

FWIW, the ad did say it was the Pro version on sale. Caveat emptor.

Not true, I use the home version with my XP Pro all the time so......

Maybe you need to check that you are running Diskeeper 8 because I know for a fact the Home version won't work on XP Pro.
