I really have to stay away from Microcenter.

Since they opened in NJ I have bought 2 e8400s, about 6 different Q9550s, 8 i7 920s, and now an i7 860.

I wish I could justify buying one of these to replace my e8500, but unfortunately the most intensive thing I currently have on my computer is TF2. My eagerness to upgrade probably won't get the best of me will L4D:2 or maybe TF3 if there is one.

Feel the same way. All I've been playing for months is L4D . My system isn't even close to straining. Must...resist...the...tempation.

pshh I've been playin starcraft for the last 6 months.

I've realized PC gaming for me is just a simple cycle. One super graphically intense game comes out, I upgrade, play it once, then go back to SC or some other old ass game.

I always end up back at CS.

Playing Warcraft III again here. The ONLY thing that's put strain on my computer lately was Crysis, which I played and beat once, and haven't touched since. :p

Holy cow! Good thing the closest one is around 70 miles away. I just upgraded my LAN party rig to LGA1366 but haven't even used it yet. Also, have parts for my main rig to go the same route but haven't gotten around to it yet. $160 will tempt me.

Shame?

You actually want to pay more money?

No, he/she actually wishes Newegg had the same or lower pricing with FREE shipping as some of us don't have a MC close enough to justify the travel! :p

(Well, I will be going through Cincinnati next Monday and Tuesday on business so I could stop at the Cincinnati on on the way up or back, lol :p ).

Hey, greetings from Canton :).
The thing that sucks is, your MC is also my MC....just it's an hour drive for me!

I bought an i7 920 on ebay for 235 (255 - 20 CB). MC would have been 215 with tax. I couldn't justify the 2 hrs of driving an F150 4x4 for 20 dollars.

This is just a long winded way of saying I hate all of you who live near a MC or Frys :p.

BTW....staying on topic, great price OP .

The nearest MC is reasonably close to my work, but I barely stress my Q6600 as it is. And there isn't enough power savings to justify the >$400 upgrade cost. :)

Yeah, L4D has replaced CS for now though. I'm sure I'll return to CS at some point in the near future.

It's too bad MC is almsot an hour away for me though. Well, maybe that's a good thing for my wallet

I'd be happy if there was a Microcenter only an hour away. For me, the nearest Microcenter store is almost a 10 hour drive (each way). And the nearest Frys is 7 hours each way. Many people mistakenly assume that most of us have easy access to these stores. If only that were true. It's NewEgg, EWiz, MWave, etc, or nothing.

I just got them to price match themselves from when I bought it last week. I have been very impressed with this store lately.
