Microcenter: $50 Instant Rebate on AMD CPU/MB Combo!

Half a moment: both of the links posted in the two previous messages still work. Which promotions are currently valid? It doesn't seem like the $30 discount would make sense if the $50 discount were still on...

Owing to the problems I've been suffering on my ASUS M3A78-EM, I realise I ought to have bought 'spare' AMD kit from Micro Centre after all.

I suppose you could print out the page with the $50 discount and see if they'll deal, but the $30 is current (it's what you see on the Microcenter home page). I'm somewhat surprised Microcenter doesn't take down the page with the $50 promo, but maybe they leave the page up so if they bring the promotion back they can just reroute the link on the main page.

From the home page, you see the current promotion on the right hand side.

Ah, blast, should have bought some AMD kit last week then.

Currently when I click on 'compatible AMD motherboards', I see socket 1156 and 1366 boards. Amazing! I knew Intel wouldn't be able to keep AMD out of their cpu-interfaces after Slot 1 forever...
