Microcenter $199.99 Computer

The link is broken, but maybe MC will fix it: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0184679

main ad page: http://www.microcenter.com/specials/index.html and ad (the $199AR system is on the left): http://www.microcenter.com/images/specials/0305a_page01_760.gif

The system looks (almost) identical to the Fry's/outpost GQ computers, probably since both are made by ECS. One word of caution on the MC system: the ECS/Duron system had a soldered on CPU so no CPU upgrade without replacing the motherboard is possible.

outpost still has the faster GQ3121 (Sempron 2200+) for $199 with no rebates: http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4199563

edit: it's probably not an ECS-built system at MC. I just checked the older Fry's GQ/Duron 1.6GHz. It's still a good idea to check if the motherboard has a soldered on CPU or not.

That seems like a cold deal considering you can get a nice dell server for $229 from small business..
