Yeong Yang Online Store

They're have a sell for micro-ATX case with 200W power supply right now. Just click on the mini tower section. $30 including power supply & 3 models to choose from. Shipping is reasonable at $8 something a case. Any questions just email Charles. I'm getting my case next week.

Desktop, DESKTOP case man! 😀 😉
Thanks though... it's still worth considering.
Thanks for the warning about the noisy enlight! I have an enlight now I'm not very happy with... :|

i couldn't go anythign but non-white/beige...

like...BLACK.

i think if u get anything, u're gonna have to use borderfree...canada doesn't crap.

You know what's weird? there was a 100+ post thread started by millhouse01 (i think) about the best mATX board for gaming. It talked about many boards, including a couple of Soltek boards. It also touched on mATX cases.

I searched for the thread but couldn't find it... weird..

Though i have never been able to find anyone that distributes these in North America, you might want to look into this case Linky! it looks like a mini antec SX-830 🙂

The thread tom3 is talking about has been deleted for some reason. The Soltek board in question is the SL-75KIV. It is a KM133A board that allows multiplier manipulation, voltage manipulation, bus speed manipulation, memory interleaving, and some other goodies. vryce, I, and some other people all contacted Softek (Soltek's US distributor) and ordered a board. It took over a month, but we received our boards a week ago.

Bump - I still REALLY REALLY REALLY want a nice, small case where I don't have to worry about weird 1/2 height PCI cards. :Q 😉

Check my Yeong Yang Tech online Store link above. The new Casper 2 (YY-102) black color case and YY-101 case in beige or 2 tones, can be use as a desktop or mini tower.

Yeah... Casper & Casper2. That's so far the best looking one. Looks like FULL sized PCI slots too. 😀 How close are you related to Yeong Yang? Make me a deal? [nudge] 😀

bump! The only alternative to these microatx cases is to make my own out of plexiglass or acrylic. there are resources and plans on the web if you want to make your own.

Whoa... I have no tools to be going and doin' that kinda' work! :Q Mind you, if I did... I could make a fortune. 😉

Thats why I love having a home improvement nut for a father. 30 years of accumulated tools fare well for the budding case modder. 🙂 🙂 He seemed to like the idea of making an acrylic case.

Wow I forgot about this thread
hehee

<< If you put same size intake and exhaust fan into a mATX case and a standard tower, which case is going to have the biggest airflow/turnover?
I tried this and monitored case air temps and found the mATX more efficient due to the volume of air in the smaller case being turned over more times than the full tower.
>>

That is quite true. If you can get a good air path in a uATX case you can get a good air turnover.

But if you have no fans or very weak fans there is a larger volume of air in a bigger case, and that air volume takes longer to heat up and has more time to float out on it's own.

Try your experiement without fans. I'm quite sure the bigger cases will be cooler.

So long as those case fans are quiet, I don't mind. I'll probably move back to Intel for a cooler chip UNLESS I manage to get an nForce board. 😉 I'd happily stick to Duron for that! 😀😀

I think that one Yeoun-Yang(??) case is probably the winner.... I wonder how much it'll cost?

Update! Someone on here has bought a Casper2! He'll be letting me know how it is... I might just get one of them. 😉

Question for everyone, where are you getting the microATX mobos? I have been really wanting to build a home entertainment center computer around a p3 and a rage fury pro vivo that I have lying around. I just can't seem to find a good mATX mobo to fit this. I had really wanted an asus p3b-1394 but can't find them anywhere. I would just settle for a reasonably inexpensive board that can accomodate a p3 and has an agp slot. I was also looking at the cube case from directon but not sure the 120 watts can carry the system. Also looking at the yeoyang. If anyone has any advice for a place to get a good mATX mobo, or advice about power supply requirements, I would appreciate it.
