I have tried 2 different V3s, a 2000 and a 3000 (both known good cards) and the machine has odd horizontal lines that show on the screen during boot, machine locks up going into Windows, but will go into safe mode, this is with a Windows VGA driver.

The machine is an overclocked Celeron 566@850, and it will run OK at the default clock speed of 566.

I did try another AGP card and various PCI cards, all work fine.

Any ideas? I really want to use this video card in this machine right now. No funds for a GeForce :-(

This is a wild stab in the dark ,but I noticed this in the V3 drivers CD I've got.

>>check to be sure that the computor does not have the following features enabled in the BIOS setup
*video BIOS shadow or cache
*VGA Palette snoop or DAC snoop
*hidden refresh
*Byte merge <<<<<<

Have you tried those?
