Micro Four Thirds?

Looking for a compact micro four thirds. I am thinking of looking at a GF2, since I can add a viewfinder.

How do they compare to the low end translucent mirror sony cameras and such?

Probably 500 with lense w/ a 14-45 is the most I would go.

Anyone know a good place to buy used equipment?

Not true. E-P1 with Panasonic 14mm/2.5 lens is what I am using. GF3 kit is less than $400 these days. It might be better for you.

none of the viewfinderless m43 are all that much bigger than the sony NEX5. More like different. They make up for it with some pretty compact lense. My 12/2 and 45/1.8 are tiny, on top of the 20/1.7.

And check out the Olympus EPM1 if you have a $500 budget and want new. Honestly, I'd look for a GF2 kit if you could find one. If you want a built in EVF, the G2 body is $300 new at b&h w/ select lenses $100 off (check the mu-43 forums).

Comparing to the sony's Axxx line seems out of place for these cameras. Different targets really. But from an IQ standpoint, aside from higher ISO, you're going to get very good image quality.

The GF3 user interface is fantastic. No mode dial of the GF1 but GF3 gave focus selection point which speed things back up. Contrast detect is wonderful. I also thought the GF3 UI learning curve is very intuitive. The GF3 with Micro Four Thirds 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zoom Lens $479 (Brown and White $470)
