there's a store in fairfax like 7 miles from my home. it's like a toys r us for geeks. i go there needing a cheap $16.99 DVD/RW drive and leave with like $800 worth of new computer parts. 😀

They sell some items at a loss (ex. select processors, DVD drives, ect) for this exact reason! It works on me too. Which is also why they don't ship at that price.

oh i know it. i do a lot of my company shopping there because of this too. their deal where you buy an AMD CPU and get a free mobo is amazing for basic workstations with a bit of unf for users to still goof off on. i don't mind their business practices at all.

They usually run $40 off any motherboard/cpu combo for AMD too, I prefer that deal as you get higher quality boards.
