Micro Center Core i3 + Z77 $50 off combo deal

How often does this deal pop up at MicroCenter? Trying to decide if it's worth waiting for it to roll around again vs spending a few extra bucks at newegg now.

The Core i5/i7 combo with Z77 deal has been ongoing for several months. The Core i3 with any compatible motherboard? Just this once so far. The CPU is new and has only been available for the past few weeks. IDK if the deal will continue.

Cool, thanks y'all. I'm not in a rush just now, will see what shakes out when the GA H77N has wider availability.

LOL, 'egg FTW on vid cards sez me, MC kinda stinks on vid card prices.

Yeah video cards is the one place they just aren't that competitive.

edit: nothing is pulling up with the discount on the 3225 for me

Yes.

Surprisingly they are reasonably price competitive with quite a few categories, such as SSDs, RAM, CPU coolers. Depending on the manager you may also convince them to pricematch. I've done that before.

must have been working for somebody because all the ivy bridges are OOS at my local MC.

Seems to be working now -- I checked my cart again this morning and the discount was properly applying to the H61/3225 combo I had in there.

Now I have to decide if I want to hold-out for Trinity for my HTPC...

The October 1st B&M flyer has the i3, i5, i7 + any compatible board for $50 off, good 1st thru the 15th.

Heh, my email says "through 10/7." It is the typical Micro Center endless combo.

HADUKEN HADUKEN HADUKEN

I noticed they now have the ASRock H77M-ITX for $95, making it $45 as part of the combo. This would be a perfect board to pair with the i3-3225 making the combo $175 for a nice mini ITX setup.

Can someone help a noob pick a motherboard for some hackintoshing? Would like a ATX size. Only Gigabyte boards are compatible? Probably will get the i5-3570k. With some mild-moderate overclocking.
