Micro ATX case

Hello

First post and question so go easy on me

I have an old SONY PC I bough at Costco like 4 maybe 5 years ago. Its a microatx case and from what I understand takes a similar Power Supply.

Without knowing the model of my SONY would this work?

thats a PS3 power supply. it is like a normal ATX one except not as deep.

most OEM machines that are microATX usually have an SFX power supply. emachines, gateway, HP etc seem to generally use those... as PS3 is not too popular with OEM , (i figure if they use a case that can take ps3 it takes ps2 which is normal ATX).

so yeah look for an SFX one. newegg also carries those

It is always best to know what you have before buying a PSU on a hunch - the Athena PSUs aren't known for their reliability. Often you can tell from the label on the current PSU or just take measurements of it. The dimensions for the varieties of PSU are fairly standard.
