I want to build a small screamer...I am getting tired of lugging monster tower cases around, and want to try a slimmed down. This is what i want to build:

Aopen MK33 Mobo
T-Bird 1000Mhz
Adaptec 29160
10000RPM SCSI HD
Plex 12/4/32 CDRW
GeForce DDR, later will be ?
Intel Pro 100+ Server NIC
SB Live Value or may just use mobo sound

I don't intend to overclock...i think cooling everything at stock speed is gonna be hard enough. The power supply really worries me....i don't think the Micro-ATX form factor is really intended for 10,000 RPM SCSI...most SFX power supplies I have looked at only have 5.0 Amperes available at 12V, and the SCSI drive is 2.5 amps.

Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated.

Replacing the PSU in a micro-atx case is easier said than done. Most micro-atx cases use ~150W ps3 or sfx supplies. Standard atx supplies just won't fit. This makes micro-atx T-Bird pretty much an oxymoron.

Even using a duron, the scsi and Geforce rule out all but a few.

superpower These guys market matx cases with 250w ps3 psu's, contact them about your plans. Their stuff is widely available.

minmaw These guys have a microatx case that accepts standard atx power units, I have no idea where to actually buy one.

Or you could use one of the smaller atx cases like the superpower, or maybe a fongkai 604 or elanvital t5 from Directron.com
