Michelle Rodriguez chooses jail over community service

Five days in jail (or more likely a half-way house) sounds better than 6-8 weeks of community service.

Besides, you just know that the Honolulou Advisor would have a Michelle Rodriguez patrol out on the street documenting every one of those 240 hours.

Day 1... This is Michelle picking up trash. Smile Michelle!
Day 2... This is Michelle handing out rolls in a soup kitchen. Smile Michelle!
Day 3... This is Michelle talking to highschool kids about the dangers of alcohol. Smile Michelle!
Day 4... This is Michelle... Blah blah blah

Serve the time and go back to work.

Hell, I'd choose jail too if I were her. Community service is the worst. And 6 straight weeks of it?! Oh, hell no.

BTW...... I'd still hit it. 😉

Careful, it'll probably hit you back. 🙂

Normally those jail photos show how ugly actors/actresses are without all their makeup. But Michelle looks exactly the same as Lost....

Choosing jail over community service was a "personal choice," said her attorney, Steve Barta.

"I would suspect that I am making a bullsh1t excuse for my client," he said.

DUI should be more like this:

6 months first offense
2 years second offense
5 years third offense

Enough with getting your wrist slapped for putting other people in danger.

I disagree to the point of you're dumb.

Someone drinks and drives.. so taxpayers should spend $60,000+ to jail someone for it. $240,000+ for 2nd offense? WTF.

DUI oughta just be a slap on the wrist.. An accident while drunk should be a jailable offense.. but a DUI? who cares? It oughta just be an expensive speeding ticket.

If it were to be a slap on the wrist, then that wouldn't exactly sway them from doing it again in the future. And what if the next time they DUI, they kill someone?

Your first statement seems to be negated by the rest of your post.

I would probably choose jail time too.

Additionally I would probably choose to serve jail time in lieu of a fine. Why should I pay them when I could just sit in a cell and force them to feed me and waste resources on me.

I would have taken the jail time + fine as well over the 240 hours of community service. When you make enough , that 500 dollar fine is nothing compared to all those days of community service.

You could be making minimum wage and have it be more worthwhile for the 120 extra hours you would have wasted on community service... anyone who would chose to spend double the time they would have in jail doing community service is an idiot.

she's a tough girl celeb, she's getting her street cred. anal rape less likely for women prisoners i guess.

Yeah, she'll drop the soap, and all the prisoners will be like "C'MON GIRLS LET'S GET....oh."

And then go back to whatever they're doing.
