Michele Bachmann vs. Stephen Hawking. Just painful. Edit: For me. Cause I'm slow.

Wow. Just wow.

She's so stupid, she doesn't realize that she doesn't possess even a fraction of the intelligence that one of Hawking's fingers's possesses. A smart person would realize that publicly challenging Hawking like that would result in inevitable intelligence comparisons, but she's so dumb, she's oblivious to it.

Hawking isn't really saying black holes don't exist, he's just saying that they may behave much differently than we had previously assumed.

Well he's really taking a shot at a very serious problem known as the "firewall" problem which has been giving people like Hawking nightmares. His is a possible out, but there's doubt it's a fix. Very knotty conundrum.

You might want to think about what you've said.

You do realize this was a parody? Another idiot along with the OP who fell for it.

It's still delicious and worth a laugh.

Agree. OP loves to come after me so it's now my turn.

Bachmann may not have said what the OP linked but I have it on sound authority that she is Right On.... Not far away is my Authority and like her 'brothers' in arms her take on Science is that it is a Lefty attempt to turn America into an Atheistic pit as predicted in the bible... I wondered how the folks of that time understood the English language though. I suppose the Tower of Babble was not yet built...

Black holes..... what... they don't know about the fallacy of climate change right here and they expect to know about stuff hundreds of miles away.... jeeesh...

Oh goddammit! Saw New Yorker. Didn't read that the Borowitz Report was "News Reshuffled". But I could see her saying it!

My shame is now on full display. I'm sad now 🙁

Pity lock or let a few pile on first?

Don't feel too bad. Despite the replies on the first page, I bet a few more will be hooked and post regretful replies.

What was the other option?

Just replace every instance of "black hole" with 'global warming,' and it probably isn't even close to being the Onion's best.

He could've had a tantrum or disappeared, which seem to be the typical responses to being wrong.

Bachmann has a black hole in between her ears; nothing enters and nothing leaves it.

The event horizon is the perpetual blank look in her eyes.

I would still DO her....and Palin. You guys gotta get politics outta your minds when it comes to these two women! 🙂

Poe's Law is a powerful law indeed.

Mhmm. He should've caught it, though, since it's a really blunt parody.

"all the students who were forced to learn about black holes in college should now sue Dr. Hawking for a full refund"

^^ A conservatard doesn't focus his thoughts down to that level. They think in social constructs. It would be, "Dr. Hawking's false teachings are immoral he should be made to pay."

“Fortunately for me, I did not take any science classes in college,” she said.

Again, obviously not the construction of a conservatard. It would be, "Fortunately for me, I know better than to believe anything but the Word of Almighty God."
