I guess she assumes none of her followers have ever ready US history. This speech is a complete white washing of the history of the founding fathers and slavery.

Well, yeh, but I doubt that her level of awareness was any higher than it is today. What she thinks she knows is all faith based, and the followers of that cult think Saint Ronnie could walk on water and heal the sick with the laying on of hands. Their history consists of myth and legend.

Even in a 'general sense', Bachmann's view of history is grossly distorted. Even in the later years of America's history, immigrants were grossly discriminated against. See: the Irish ("Irish need not apply") or the Japanese in there internment camps or Arabs/Hispanics today.
