Michael Moore was on Leno

If anyone saw Leno tonight they will know what I am talking about. Basically Moore got some girls to go talk to Porter J. Goss who wasn't the CIA director, I forget what job he had, at the time. It was what he called an "outtake" from Fahrenheit 9/11. He said that he wasn't qualified to be the CIA director for numerous reasons. I was just wondering if anyone had a clip of this.

======================================================================
For those looking to flame:
This is just a clip of something I want. I don't want to say anything that will start a flame war. Maybe Moore did not tell the whole story or maybe he did, that I do not know. That's why I am looking for this clip.

I couldn't get a job with CIA today. I am not qualified. I don't have the language skills. I, you know, my language skills were romance languages and stuff. We're looking for Arabists today. I don't have the cultural background probably. And I certainly don't have the technical skills, uh, as my children remind me every day, "Dad you got to get better on your computer." Uh, so, the things that you need to have, I don't have.
Anyway, so this post isn't completely P&N trash, here is the link to the video.

So the stuff he said he's not qualified to do is stuff that the Director doesn't have to do anyway...that's why they hire specialized linguists and technical experts.

It's significant that he, himself, said that he's not qualified.

Was Jay encouraging MM to sign the tires? That would have been the best place for MM to sign.

Yeah....plus he is former CIA. And this was on Leno, not some "documentary". But some people just take any excuse they can find to attack Michael Moore...:roll:

MM certainly has his faults, but one thing that I like about him is that he has the balls to stick up to the as*holes running our government.

By Director I meant "Director of Central Intelligence", not movie director...in case there was any confusion :p

Just so it's clear, when Goss said what he said, he was talking about being a CIA field agent. You're damn right (and so is he) that he's not qualified to a field agent today. Fortunately, he's not being hired to be a field agent so everything you've quoted out of context is entirely irrelevant and deceptive. Thanks!

You get a :cookie: :thumbsup:

Porter Goss is doing what should have been done 4 years ago when bush was elected, undoing everything that the Clinton administration did to the CIA. The CIA is in serious need of qualified people. Clinton looked at the Agency like it was any other Government Agency and packed it full of unskilled bureaucrats. It?s going to take years to undo the damage that was done but Mr. Goss seems to be on the right track.

So do Drug Dealers to the Police, but I don't admire them. Terrible analogy I know, but hey it is way toooooooo late to be discussing Politics.
