Trevader, you may be interested in quoting this post and filling out the following form correctly.
On the Wikipedia page for the Yom Kippur War, the result is listed as a
[ ]Israeli Military Victory
[ ]Egyptian Military Victory
[ ]Syrian Military Victory
I'm sure you will be able to complete this assignment easily.
(now yes, everyone knows that the war with Egypt was basically a draw for Israel; Israel and Egypt basically traded equally worthless land and both potentially put their troops in an unsavory, potentially indefensible position. Hence they both were inclined to seek peace because there was no point in fighting further. But to somehow claim that Egypt won the war because they got back their land five years after the fact is laughable)
Easy, Egyptian victory
Who lost more than 80% of its occupied land as a result of the Yom Kippur war?
Oh yeah! Israel

Edit: You want my real opinion? Huge tactical and strategic victory against Syria for Israel. They won the war on the Golan in spectacular fashion.
By the same token, an even bigger strategic victory for Egypt as a result of the stalemate that was developing. So they did not win tactically but they did win strategically.
In total:
Syria Lost the war on the Golan.
Egypt fought to a tactical stalemate, however that is a huge win strategically.
Before October 1973 the Israelis were thought to be invincible.
Israel won the war on the Golan but lost strategically as the U.S. made them give Saddat the Sinai.
