BWAHAHAHAHA, so, so pwned!

NightCrawler is wriggling on the end of your hook, Painman.

Let's go fiishing!😀

Keep your fingers crossed that Moore's movie helps to bring Bush down. It got the longest standing ovation in Caan history, I heard.

Michael Moore grew up poor in Flint, and made a very good documentary about what happened there, "Roger and Me". I won't comment on his other films except to say that "Roger and Me" was the high point of his career.

In all seriousness, is there any way to get Passions banned from P&N? I only read this forum occasionally, as every single thread gets hijacked by this guy (whether or not he is being seriousness, or simply being annoying), and which point it just turns into namecalling.

This entire forum would be much more useful without him.

On subject, like him or not, the constitution says he has a right to say and express what he wants. To think that he shouldn't be allowed to make a movie like this is, in itself, un-American.

So you want me banned for dissenting from the majority here??? Is that right? For voicing my own opinions, you want me silenced??? Who is the facist now. PFFFFFFFFT hypocrite!!!!

well you should get banned the rule is "PERSONAL FLAMES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED" and you talk like a 10yr old. Funny think you call Michel Moore a Mutant and a traitor, well it's his opinion and rights to show what he wants in his movies.

I rarely attack someone with PERSONAL FLAMES. Name users here which I have flat out attacked? There are several users who cuss each other out here in PN. I dont think so. Calling terrorists and famous people names like mutant and traitor is not a PERSONAL FLAME. Unless Michael Moore signs up here on anandtech, I don't think it's personal. I think you need to work on your dictionary library.

To think that he is owed by Disney to release this movie is arrogant and un-American this company has a right to release what they want. Good for Disney not to crumble and cater to some ego money-driven costume wearing hypocrite that think his movie regardless of anyones opinion he thinks the distributor has no say in what it distributes?

Remember people this guy's job is an entertainer not a journalist.

Sure, but to claim they don't want to release it out of fear that the Bush administration will retract tax breaks for Disney is absolutely ludicrous!

Unlike preppy King George pretending to be a regular guy, Michael Moore IS a regular shlub from Flint with a socially ingrained lack of fashion sense. Moore power to him.😉

What tax breaks are those exactly? maybe they just thought the movie was not Disney material that is more likely unless someone shows me the tax I think that is rubbish the Bushies are not afraid of that that goober that is so arogant to think they would be.🙂

Funny I have seen him a few times with the Dems Fatcats in a tux and he looked very comfortable. He has the means and the desire but to pull off what he does you cannot go around in Signature lables.

I prefer to think of Canadian Bacon as the high point of his career.

Roger and Me was alright, but he was still dishonest in it and twisted the truth, though not to nearly the extent as he does now.

Can't much argue with this quote.

As for Michael Moore, sure, he's over the top but I like him, I think he's genuine and humane, and besides, I lean towards his particular viewpoint. I truly think I'd have a gas throwing back a pint or two with him in real life, but . . .

I pity anyone who gets their political views from movies or gasbag radio of any stripe. As much as I like Michael Moore I'd never tune in if he held forth on the radio everyday.

Any one other person's opinions are best taken in small, infrequent doses. That's why I put a strict limit of no more than 3 or 4 hours of P&N daily.😛

Moore's Bush Bashing Movie Fahrenheit 9/11 bestowed top prize by French at Cannes Film Festival:

5-22-2004 Moore's Anti-Bush Film Wins Cannes Top Prize

Moore said after the ceremony that he expected right-wing media outlets in the United States to characterize his prize as an award from the French, whose government opposed the U.S.-led war on Iraq.

He noted that the nine-person Cannes jury that awarded prizes had only one French member and four Americans, including jury president Quentin Tarantino and actress Kathleen Turner.

So when Michael Moore -who probably went to public school when he was a child- talks about the issues facing American working class people it's terrible, but when champagne-squadron Bush acts like he is one of the people it's okay? Or do you despise Bush too?

I for one think it is comendable that Moore is looking out for the interests of average americans, even if now he is part of the elite. The difference with Bush is that Bush does look out for the interests of average americans.

First of all nice job with your selection of articles! You represented both sides of the political spectrum so well! I'm sure you'll be able to include a Wall Street Journal editorial in there soon enough (Although I'm sure the suspense is killing you). In addition I want to thank you for your commentary on him being a fat ass. I can't tell you how enlightening that was, and it was also totally prevalent to the issue at hand: his movie. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you are the king of ad hominem attacks, and believe me I don't say that to just any conservative. Either way, it's only fair you include some positive reviews after all I'm sure you want to keep thing "Fair and Balanced."

New York Times

***UPDATE #1*** (This is important stuff!!) I found an unsourced quote from NightCrawler totally contradicting himself.

"I love Michael Moore and have seen Bowling for Columbine over thirteen times!" - NightCrawler April 2004
