I wonder how the guy who injured him felt, I mean, a "old" guy trying to come back, and the you play so physical that you injure the greatest basketball player in history (IMHO), I'd be pretty mad with him.
I doubted whether he could come back earlier too, but then I realized, this is the guy that has every current NBA player wettin his pants about his comeback. Everyone fears this guy and he is still in great shape. I wouldn't doubt whether he could dominate the league again.

Allen Iverson or Kobe Bryant wetting their pants? More like licking their lips at the chance to show that they are the real deal. Whether they are able to is another matter.

ditto. i doubt at 40 that jordan could handle either of them
I'm going to take the humanistic approach on this... I don't think Jordan really gives a damn if he's still the best... he was the best.. thats over and done with... he just wants to play some b-ball... I don't know who out there have played a sport competitevly... but I know if I leave the sport, I suffer almost physical withdrawl... and I think thats what his comeback is all about.... just playing basketball. Who cares if he can't be the best... he's still good enough to be a starter on an NBA team... and still be ONE of the best... while having a good time... I say as long as he's not hurting the team he's playing for... and there's little chance of that... let the guy have a good time... sheesh..
